In Trescore Balneario, on the outskirts of Bergamo, one company has transformed itself into a cultural laboratory, offering both the community and its employees an experience that transcends the mere function of work. Ecoedile, founded and led by entrepreneur Enzo Nembrini, is not only a construction and restoration company but a space where art becomes a tool of regeneration and reflection.

The story began fifteen years ago, when a young Nembrini, then just thirty-five, purchased his first artwork: a sculpture by Davide Bonaldi, depicting a man holding a lit match. “I remember the sense of melancholy it conveyed,” Nembrini recalls. “It was a difficult choice, but that sculpture spoke to me profoundly.” From this initial gesture, a collection began to grow, eventually including works by Marcello Maloberti, Ode De Kort, Nina Carini, Maria Lai, and Benassi. Art thus entered the workspace, engaging in a continuous dialogue with architecture and the company’s identity.

At the heart of this dialogue is Mirage, the monumental pictorial intervention by Agostino Iacurci that envelops the interior and exterior surfaces of Ecoedile’s headquarters. The project is not mere decoration; it is a narrative fabric that weaves together stories, materiality, and light, reflecting Ecoedile’s philosophy, where precision, care, and attention to detail merge with a profound sense of harmony and regeneration.

With over seventy collaborators, Ecoedile operates across a broad spectrum: from conservation restorations of historic buildings to high-level sports, residential, and infrastructure projects. The company has chosen a controlled growth model, prioritizing quality over quantity. “We do not aspire to become a giant. Losing control would mean losing our perception of things,” Nembrini explains.

The architecture of the headquarters mirrors this vision. Designed by Arcoquattro Architettura, the two-level building embodies a minimalist rigor inspired by Tadao Ando and Kengo Kuma. Clean lines, materials such as concrete, glass, and steel, open, luminous spaces, suspended walkways, and connecting staircases create a fluid and harmonious environment that nurtures concentration. This architectural clarity provides fertile ground for artistic intervention, where every work resonates with light, space, and the community inhabiting it.

In this context, art is not an accessory but a transformative element: an act of care, regeneration, and inspiration. Nembrini’s collection and Iacurci’s intervention demonstrate how art can become an integral part of a corporate ecosystem, generating meaning, beauty, and creative stimulus for all who enter.

Ecoedile represents a virtuous model of corporate culture: a place where architecture, design, and art collection do not merely coexist but interact as tools for growth, reflection, and regeneration.
